We are just 20 miles from the M4, 3 hours from London, 1 1/2 hours from Birmingham, 3/4 hour from Cardiff, and within 1/2 hour of Brecon, Hay on Wye and Hereford, with its beautiful cathedral, Monmouth and many more such beautiful towns.

The scenery around the Brecon Beacons www.brecon-beacons.com and the Wye Valley www.visitwyevalley.com is second to none, at any time of year, and provides many areas of relaxation, including bird-watching, walking, cycling, golfing, fishing, horse riding, hang gliding, and of course, eating out at the many excellent restaurants near by, (The Hardwick –owned by TV celebrity chef Steve Terry- a top class restaurant - within a few minutes walking distance, but booking is now essential). Other excellent pubs and restaurants within east reach are The Fox Hunter at Nantyderry, The Bell at Skenfrith, The Walnut Tree and The Bear at Crickhowell, and another local pub The King Of Prussia just over a mile away, does excellent pub food.
Abergavenny hosts many popular annual events, including the Steam Rally in May, the Abergavenny Arts Festival in August and the famous Food Festival which takes place in September. There are also many golf courses in this area, including Monmouthshire Golf Club at Abergavenny, Rolls at Monmouth, the Marriott St. Pierre at Chepstow, The Celtic Manor at Newport, which is this year hosting The Ryder Cup, Raglan Parc, Woodlake (Cwmbran) and Alice Springs between Abergavenny and Usk.
